Duncan and Sons Circa 1891 Green Beaded Swirl Berry Bowls, Set of 6

Duncan and Sons Circa 1891 Green Beaded Swirl Berry Bowls, Set of 6

Sorry, this item has sold.

Beautiful set of 6 Duncan and Sons green (darker green, almost Forrest/Emerald green) berry bowls. These have the beaded swirl pattern and are footed. Circa 1891. The original bowls had a gold gilt, these must have been washed off at some time. Each stand about 2" tall and are 4" in diameter. Great condition, no cracks or chips, they do have typical occasional manufacturer air bubbles.
Just added, some researchers indicate that this set may be a Duncan & Miller from 1890, called the Beaded Swirl, pattern #335, rather than a Duncan and Sons, one way or the other, it is over 100 years old.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quality of your products.

Glass is a manufactured product, and may have air bubbles, visible debris embedded in the glass, or markings within the glass.
Most used products may have scratches in the glass. Glass manufacturing is not always perfect, lids may not sit perfectly flush, blown and pressed glass may have "over-runs" or slag, or rough surfaces.
GlassShopBoutique will make every effort to note, in the description, any defect, not normal to an item that may have significant age. GlassShopBoutique will not sale items that have significant chips or defects. All defects are not always seen, but we do our best to examine each piece of glass before we list and sell it.
If a glass item has a box, we will mark it as New In Box, assuming that it is new.

Multiple Purchase Shipping

I will combine shipping when possible. Because of wrapping and cushioning of glass pieces, it is not always possible and practical to place numerous pieces in the same box to ship, however that may be possible on smaller pieces. Combined weight and size of combined shipping will add to the cost of shipping.

Information on a Product

We make every effort to research the items that we sell. If we are confident on a maker, we will name the maker in the description. Some pieces are not common, are rare, or there is not any information available to assign them a makers name. In this case, we may mention that our item has the same "style" as a named product.

Pricing

All sales have a limited time frame and will end at a specific time. GlassShopBoutique has all rights to change the pricing of an item at any given time. All pricing will be honored for 24 hours during and after the course of a "conversation", or 24 hours after an item has been "favorited" by a visitor to our shop.
I will not negotiate pricing on items, I truly believe my pricing is fair, and sometimes I feel I am giving away the farm.

Damaged in Shipping

Although I package as well as possible, sometimes things will be broken, out of my control. All damaged items will need to be taken to your nearest Post Office to file a claim, along with packaging, invoice, and the box the item(s) were shipped in. It has come to this point because the USPS is now denying claims based on my pictures alone. Their statement is “Per Domestic Mail Manual 609-2.0 Providing Proof of Loss or Damage: ….the addressee must retain the mailing container, including any damaged articles, all packaging, and any contents received. the addressee must make this proof available to the local Post Office for inspection…”

Returns

I will reimburse the full amount once an item is returned in the condition that it left our store. Please look at the complete description of items before purchasing to minimize returns. I cannot pay for the return mailing.
